Fertilizer and Sprinklers

Sam, our lawn and grass professional, has spent time this summer getting soil samples from around the campus.  The results have been interpreted and Sam has worked with Dick to implement our Fall Fertilizer program.  I'm told the product that is planned will be dormant during the fall and help the lawns recover from winter damage quicker and establish a early spring food source.  This is important because of our short growing season.

In regards to Sprinklers, Dick Hovde and his crew are hard at work blowing out the system for winter dormancy.  If you have any comments or know of sprinkler heads that need maintainence, please let us know so it can get added to Dick's list of needed maintainence.

Welcome to the newly created Grounds and Beautification blog about Firelight Meadows here in amazing Big Sky Montana.

The four volunteer members of the non-binding sub committee (of the HOA) are Chris Moon (Chief Ground Hog), Jason Gras (Sprinkler Attendant), Sam Reznicek (Grass Boss) and Pete Kulak (our smart member and CAD expert). We are actively looking for additional members and your opinions! Meetings are often held at the Moon unit and include BBQ of some fashion.

I will be presenting our progress so far this summer/fall to enhance our living spaces at the Annual meeting in October. Please look for my outline posted here soon after that meeting.
